Great thank you. Everyone alright so ideas. Gonna dive in an begin with personal information. Alright thank you. Anna Good afternoon. Everyone so I'm going to cover in detail of the application requirements. So all of this, you'll also find on each programs of specific application instructions. When you Scroll down you will see that were basically giving you a step by step on how to complete your application and complete the four quadrants of your application.
So under personal information you'll find it on the application under the quadrant of personal information. Here is where you're going to enter your name as it appears on your ID so you're going to have to indicate any alternate or previous names in the other name field so please make sure that you do enter do not leave any any fields blank because it won't complete that quadrant.
Another thing to note is you want to enter the email address that USC Rossier should use to communicate with you throughout the application process.
You will also want to enter your your current address and if there is any changes. You will have to contact USC graduate admissions office, so that they can update any uh any contact information for you. Unfortunately, once you submit your application. You can't go back into edit or update any information and specifically with regards to your personal information. This was something that will apply to all the programs that you apply for so this is.
Consistent across if you're applying to multiple program here last year or at Ross here. Another schools at USB this is something that will be centralized across all of your applications.
Right and I can **** all his gifts next so next. We have transcripts so you'll find this on your application under my application and the quadrant that says academic history. Once you click on there. You go to colleges attended an add a college and then you'll find a field that says upload a transcript.
So what you want to do is basically request 2 copies of official transcripts from every and each institution that you have attended so.
Morgan Robertson
12:10:07 PM
Do we need high school transcript as well?
That includes a junior colleges universities, even if you did not earn a crit accreditor degree from each institution, so for example, if your final transcript includes a list of classes taken at other colleges and universities. You are still required to send the transcripts from each college University so we are going to want you to order two sets of of of of official transcripts because you're going to upload one set an keep for yourself.
We're gonna open up those official transcript an uploaded to your application. We need those for review.
The second copies that you order are gonna go directly to USC graduate admissions office. There's two ways of sending knows you can either send those via US Mail or you can send them electronically via email and we have the address to both on the website so please take a look at each of your program detailed application requirements that you have the address of border, sending the official unopened, Tran Scripps.
Directly, 2, so once again, you need to upload official transcripts directly to your application and then the second set that you order is going directly to USC graduate admissions office. Those are the official unopened one if you have further questions about this please. Feel free to reach out to your to your ad and they will give you more information regarding this.
No no high school transcript so regarding the program that you're flying to we're going to want to see your where you received your degree as an undergrad so not know high school.
Raegan Hesse
12:11:27 PM
Does the office of graduate admissions confirm when they received our transcripts?
Uh that's a great question morning, yeah, so all the post secondary institutions that you attended and Reagan also asked is the office of graduate admissions confirm when they received our transcripts correct so basically the office of graduate missions will begin processing transcripts. A little bit later, so they'll begin processing that around. I believe November. December so even if you request your chance with early right now, it won't show up in your USC roster personal portal.
Ani Hakobyan
12:12:16 PM
As long as we get a notification that transcripts have been received, everything is set, right?
Now they receive that but they will be reaching out to you if any specific transcripts are missing so that's a great question for the second copy of your transcripts have been sent directly to the University you will be able to log into your USB Russ here personal portal at anytime to verify when the USC Office of graduate admission has this has received and reviewed your transcript so Please note that there will and there can be a delay of several days between wonder transcripts have been received and reviewed.
And when your portal is updated the processing time can increase during heavy processing periods or Holidays, so please keep that in mind.
Jen Jahyun Jung
12:13:05 PM
I am a U.S. permanent resident but earned all my degree outside of US. Does this make me an international student, therefore take a TOEFL or can I send in a translated copies of the transcript.
Any also ask questions so as long as we get a notification that Tran Scripps has been received. Everything is set. Right yes, so that once the office of graduate admissions confirmed that everything is received. That means you're a second set of transcripts has been confirmed. And they review that so essentially as I mentioned the first set of official transcripts that you're uploading into your online application is for the USC Rossier school education team to review the second set.
Official transcript essentially for the office graduate admissions that reviews all graduate if applications from all programs to review so there are the ones calculating the GPA's between all of the institutions that you've attended even if you studied abroad. If it's 6 months or less than like we wanted to submit it. But if you have studied abroad. More than 6 months on a different institution. You will also need to apply's official transcripts from them as well.
Um and Jen asked Anna us first permit otherwise. I turned all my degrees outside of us is this makes me International Airport. Yes, we will talk about the total requirements in a little bit, but that will apply to you.
Are there any other questions about transcripts? Is there anyone here applying for the M80 program weather best female subjects or multiple subject.

Whether that be in a social science as well. English as far as those of you that are playing multiple subjects for those of you that are playing single subject for example, if you're teaching math will just see that, well, just wanna see that you perform well in those particular classes.
For in terms of GPA we see that the most competitive applicants here at Ross. Here have a GPA of 3.0 or higher will talk in little bit more detail later about the optional test scores and everything else like guns in terms of how to make your application more competitive.
Gabriela Papias
12:15:16 PM
Just to clarify, if you studied abroad for less than 6 months, you do not need to request transcripts from that institution?
Hina Hassan
12:15:16 PM
If I have been studying in the US for 5 years(by the time i grauduate), do I still need a Tofel report?
Are there any more questions regarding Tran Scripps before ID talks about next topic?
OK, Gabriella as denticle fight abroad for less than 6 months do not need to request transcript from that institution. Yes, that is correct.
And you know if I have been studying in the US for 5 years by the time I graduated do I still need a total report so if you completed then the integrity of your undergraduate career in the US you do not need a couple.
Alright, it looks like there's all the questions with transcripts. For now, however, as we go along if you have more questions. Definitely shoot them in the chat box and will be sure to adjust them.
And thanks for all the great questions everyone.
Yes, so next we have the next requirement is we will need a resume or CV on the application. You will find that under supporting information documents and then you click on CV resume. So basically your resume should be detailed enough to help our admission committee understand the various experiences extracurricular activities leadership or volunteer work that you have done that is shaped your interest in that particular program.
So make sure you outline your roles and responsibilities within each organization and highlight any special achievements or accomplishments.
So you'll find that when you do upload your resume is it does kind of cover a lot of stuff a lot of detailed information that you probably have already entered into the application itself. Please make sure that they match. We just want to make sure that everything seems a line because if there is an academic gap or work gap. We will want you to write an essay which I'll talk about when we get into essays.
In an optional essay part so we just want to make sure that you're writing everything you know in detail. An envious specific as you can with what you've written already in the application. So yes, it might be a little redundant but.
It's for our admission committee to take a look at.

For the resume, should we stick to the 1-page resume or fit all the important information in even if its more than 1 page?
In terms of making sure that your CV and resume are the most compelling as possible to make a stronger application. Make sure that you are bringing the most relevant experience to the program that you're applying for it to the Top so whether that be leadership. Orc rational experience or volunteer experience make sure that for example, if you're applying to the Pulsar program so student fears program that you're highlighting all relevant to experience experience if you're flying for the MFT program make sure that you highlights.
Anything I rather then to marriage family and counseling leadership and volunteer opportunities that you've done. I'm and bring that to the Top so we also really impart this is to ensure that we don't understand. What exposure you had the field and that this is the program that is the right fit for you.
He not ask study God. I say, Oh yeah, will go over that in a little bit. Morgan so for the resume should we stick to one page resume. Still, there for me information and even if it's more than one page. Typically, we recommend not going over 2 pages or so like I said in the application portion. You'll notice that you probably are writing in detail a lot of information that you've already had.
On your resume so you'll get a chance in the application. If you haven't taken a look at it where you can write a little bit more important information in detail where your resume. Let's try to stick to the typical one page. But like I said, you will have an opportunity to talk about what you did, in those roles in the application, yeah, so I made a really great point. So I would make sure to highlight the most relevant experience and your resume in your CV and then for any additional experiences that you really want to highlight.
Norma Lopez
12:19:40 PM
Do we pick between a Resume or CV or we have to submit both?
Why you think that you didn't have enough room to share within this TV you will be able to decode that and the experience in the personal information experienced portion of your application. So you can share it. Each individual experience there and I can guarantee you that everything is being read. So it's important that you put all this information. I know it's maybe a little bit knowing it was done then to put on all their information, but really. That's just guarantees you the space to be able to input all of your relevant experience.
Morgan Robertson
12:20:26 PM
Thank you!
Normally great question an in terms of picking between a resume or CV. We just really mean one and you can choose between the two. We are used. The term like entertainer way, just because we know certain countries call it CB instead of a resume.
The great questions everyone.
Ani Hakobyan
12:20:47 PM
Since normally CVs are longer, should we go over the one page as you mentioned earlier?
Wonderful alright, so wins, I've been to the next topic, OK, so next requirement are of course, the essays. Where to find that on the application is under program materials and then you will click on documents.
So for each program that you apply to when you go to the application requirements. Page you will see the prompts I highly recommend that you take a sneak peek an look at what questions each programs have already on the website for you, your essay responses are basically used to evaluate your personal professional an educational perspective and experiences and the ability to effectively communicate ideas and organize.
Your written thoughts. So, your responses to the essay prompts should be. Of course, double spaced of with a 12 point font and one inch margin on all sides.
Please also make sure to follow the directions on the application, which include your full names at the beginning of each document and you're going to upload each essay as a separate document in the appropriate section so for example, one personal statement might have a requirement of 500 words or less. And you might see that some prompts are maybe 2, there 2 questions. We want you to answer those 2 questions as a personal statement.
Liting Chen
12:22:27 PM
In terms of transcript,8 years ago, I studied in a university in China for a year . Then I immigrated in the U.S. and got my AA and BA here. Do I still need to get the transcript from the university in China since I am not using any GPA nor course from there?
In 500 words or less, I know we get this question on a lot, so just sort of try to stick to the 500 words or less. We don't want you adding any extra work. We want you to just try to answer the question as best as possible and as leanna mentioned in the beginning. If I I would highly recommend looking at our about section for USC rusty or school of Education because it will have you.
Talk about how you allying with our mission statement as a as a future student in our program.
Another part of the essay that is optional, so it's not a requirement is a part where you can upload.
JiEun Park
12:23:22 PM
What would be considered a low GPA?
An optional essay and this is what I was talking about earlier where if you have if you need explain a low GPA as an undergrad if you need to explain an employment gap academic gap. This is where you would want to basically discuss discuss this, or so. The The The Admissions Committee, wondering evaluating your application is it left with any unanswered questions so the optional estate is optional.
Also I forgot to mention sorry some programs may have in additional essay a short answer prompt and those vary from. I believe there is 250 words or less. And once again. Those questions prompts are also on each program's specific detailed requirements page. So I highly recommend taking a look at that and you'll see that they're called short answers, so some programs will have a personal statement a short answer and then you will have.
Hina Hassan
12:24:06 PM
Do you want us to answer the question (and listed them out) one by one? Or just an essay that address every quesrion?
You know the section where you can upload an optional essay and I believe the the 2 programs that have specific short answer questions or for the marriage and family therapy program and our Masters of our Masters in arts and teaching those are the 2 programs that have the additional short answer questions.
I know we, we received a couple questions on will definitely be sure to dress them, but I Zaidi mentioned with regards to the personal statement. Sometimes you might see a prompt with multiple bullet points. It's important that we broke it out because we want to make sure that you answer every single point that we highlighted so I would make sure as you go along and as reviewing your personal statement. Maybe even starting off with a brief outlines or make sure that you answer all the specific questions.
That's really important because we asked all the questions because we are definitely interested in understanding what in your history has led you to where you are today. You know how how does this program alone align with your long and short term career goals and much more so make sure that you answer every part of their personal statement as the prompt States and let's answer a couple questions that came in about these I know we have a couple of questions.
From the topics before so any any ask since normally CDs along where should we go over the one page. As you mentioned earlier. I would say I was keep base boards at most like to it. Really, you should be highlighting experience. That's the most relevant in your CV and resume so I would keep it at Max Round 2.
Imani Faggan
12:25:42 PM
My undergraduate degree is in Music, would the optional essay be the place to explain why I’m making the drastic field change or the personal statement?
Ani Hakobyan
12:25:45 PM
thank you!
Hopefully, that helps an thinking asked in terms of Tran Scripps 8 years ago, I studied in University in China for a year and then I let's see.
That one linking with your specific question I I would actually recommend contacting your specific bake assistant doctor overseeing your program since they can get much wind up with you in terms of determining whether or not you'll need to take the exam.
And whether you need the extra transcript in New York City in China.
Um key and asked what would be considered a low GPA so as I mentioned before the most competitive applications. We see have a 3.0 or higher, so really the optional essay is really.
An option for students to explain any gaps as I mentioned before or GPA that slower and then like the competitive application. So perhaps there's an undergrad. You started off maybe with a lot of WS. Maybe you've got a few CC zoref. This is the part where you basically if you if your overall cumulative GPA is lower than a 3.0 I would highly suggest.
Perhaps just explaining in an optional essay you know, there was certain times of your undergraduate career where you had to retake classes but you overcame you know any challenges that you had at the time and your GPA was raised to at 3.0. Yeah, any makes it really good point. So also I think ID also highlights that you know, we are, we practice. The holistic review process, which means that we look at everything in your application so everything that we're going over him now.
Raegan Hesse
12:28:01 PM
I am a little confused with the educational gap question on the application. Can you elaborate what the definition of an education gap is?
JiEun Park
12:28:06 PM
Thank you!
Every part of your application has equal weight. So it's important to us when we look at our mission to be able to look the student as a whole. So the optional essay is really a chance for you to be able to Share your story in a place outside of the personal statement.
Now of course, an many asked my undergraduate degrees in music with optional essay be the place explain why I'm making that yeah, and then you can definitely explain it in the optional essay why you transition from your undergraduate degree in music to education and you can also explain that in your personal statement as well as you know, I'm sure that really pertains to why you're applying for the program now. If you would like additional space to sign on, but then the optional essay would be the route to go.
Imani Faggan
12:28:53 PM
Thank you
I'm so the next question is regarding educational gaps of these said that 'cause that question is on the application. So somebody wants us to elaborate. The definition of an educational gap. So if you take a year off. We just want to know why say you received your VA one or 2 years ago, well, just just explain the reasoning behind that to explore the re options volunteer travel things like that.
Hopefully, that answers your question any pieces of their academic else. I think it's really yeah. I think I did mention that already. But if you take that believe of absence for a little bit and then you come back for about a year or so typically when you're in the office of graduate missions will want to see an explanation for them and it's really just to understand again. All of this is to understand your story and your journey so.
Sara Inoue
12:30:01 PM
My university changed its grading system from A,B,C,F system to S,A,B,C,F system. My grades have Ss and As but they may mean different things depending on the year I took the course. (In recent years, S=4, A=3. Before 2017, it was A=4, B=3). My school does not specify this in the transcript. Is there any way I can communicate that in the application.
We want to make sure that we have the complete picture so this is an opportunity for any student to go into depth about what occured during that time, so we ever stand? How you're drowning husband over the years if you if you're still a little confused I would recommend reaching out to your assistant director and contact them directly so they can recommend how to explain if you do have an educational gap.
But that's what I figured question Megan.
OK, so the next requirement, we require 2 letters of recommendation you will find that in your application under a program materials. You click on recommendations and you were going to add to recommender so we required to letters of recommendation to complete the application. So these letter should come from supervisors reformer and structures or faculty who can basically comment on any significant contributions that you've made in the.
Work place or your leadership skills as well as your commitment to lifelong learning and basically your ability to perform well in a Masters level. Of course work class so the way this works is you're basically going to submit names of of the two recommenders and this is going to send them an email so make sure you have their email address and they're going to get an email of each recommend that they're going to the application is going to email each recommender.
Ani Hakobyan
12:31:47 PM
If our recommendation writers do not have letterheads, what should we do?
With instructions so if that the instructions are included password and directions for submitting their letter of recommendation so if the recommended doesn't receive the recommendation letter may reach out to you have them check their scammer junk folder. We've heard in the past, sometimes their emails do not recognize the application liaison. So let them know that it to check their junk Mail.
Imani Faggan
12:31:55 PM
Would you suggest having one letter be academic and the other be a mentor or supervisor?
The recommending now recommendation letters we want to make clear that when you do ask them to send your letters of rec. You might want to politely let them know that they need to be typed on official letterhead from the organization that that there. You know basically recommending you from and they do need to be signed so we need a signature if the recommender is not able to obtain company letterhead it needs to be noted somewhere on the letter.
But that the important because I do, find some time that maybe applicants do not tell the recommenders this and and.
You know it's important for for you all to have that there is a question on here that says if our recommendation writers do not have letter head? What should we do, and I think I just answered that so yes, please reach out to them and tell them to write it on their letter to explain why they don't have access to a letter head, but please have them sign it, you know a signature would be nice, though, that way. They uploaded and when would you see that it's?
On you know official letter from the recommender. Somebody asked would you suggest having one letter B academic and the other be mentor supervisor so to be a competitive candidate we do want one letter. Coming from a former supervisor of either former or current supervisor somebody who was in a direct oral position that can speak of you as you know that you worked for them and the second one would preferably be from.
Faculty member but if you don't have access to you know, an instructor or faculty gives his perhaps maybe you been out of school for a while and you just don't keep contact with anybody mentor is fine and you can actually upload another a second professional letter recommendation if you don't have access to a faculty member or somebody who can talk about your academic work when you were in school, so yes that's perfectly fine.
Uhm another thing I was going to tell you about the letters of recommendation is.
Uh the the recommending your recommendation letter should be program specific so please make sure when you are asking for letters from them to let them know what program you are applying to so that they can talk about that in the letter. You might want to tell them You know, I would suggest and I'm sure each assistant director probably has tips for all of you specifically but you know ask him out to coffee ask him out. Some lunch and let them know what your goals are and what you want to do and so.

Perhaps they can write that in the letter for you so you know they need a refresher about if it's a faculty member and they haven't seen you for years. You know just go back and and let them know what? What it was like in class and then you know, those will remember you so yeah, that we basically want them to be program. Specific is it possible they can be used for if you are applying to multiple programs. You can't use the same recommend the same letter to apply to additional.
Program so just keep that in mind.

Hi, for the MAT program, do you recommend I submit a GRE score? And do you get a lot of classroom teaching experience in the MAT program? Sorry about asking this before getting to the relevant part of the seminar (I have to leave shortly).

If it’s not possible to meet with a recommender in person, are there any tips for asking them via email or phone?
Also, the letter should be submitted by Recommenders by the application deadline. So you can go ahead and say say you sent out already you know you ask them to submit you'll get a notification of when they've uploaded and complete it on your via email or you'll get a notification from the application ways on that face submitted so make sure that they know that there's a deadline, so will go into deadlines in a bit, but there are being different deadlines just.
You know, let them know that your application is being complete once both letters of recommendation or end so there's a way also detect like I mentioned earlier your USC roster portal, which will show if you are missing one or 2, so you'll be able to check with them and kind of you know, given a little nudge to finish that up for you.
I know I know receiving a couple questions, but I know Daniel You said. You have to leave and I know you're inquiring about the jury score so since you're applying to MIT program. I would actually recommend reaching out to kaladar. Molly also put it in the chat box right now, so you can go ahead and Contact. Her visit will be able to best address your questions about them. 80 program and schedule 1 on one complication.

I'm just because in terms of submitting your jury store that's optional. We want to understand you know what your GPA looks like now, so make the best recommendation whether you should submit that and then she can also talk to you about was it possible teaching experience looks like while you're in the MIT program too. But that Daniel is information and then she can get back to you on all those questions and sort of tailored for you.

12:37:20 PM
when you mentioned the supervisors or mentors, do you mean those from work or undergraduate programs?
Hina Hassan
12:37:24 PM
Do the world language teaching program require a GRE report?
You're welcome, Alright Um, I know we have a couple of other questions about letters recommendation to see that he asked him both with the letters B from professors.
So typically we do recommend that it does come from you know, an academic setting to evaluate how you contribute in a classroom as well as expressional settings to understand how you contribute in the workplace. We typically look for that balance. But I know I didn't mention before I sometimes you're more removed from your undergraduate career. So we do allow to professional letters recommendation. The only reason why I could see students submitting both from a academic professors. I would definitely still recommend if you can like.
Having someone that's perhaps your internship like everybody, said just have a manager. Yeah, where I mentor. I think being able to identify individuals that know you will from different capacities can help make your application stronger. So if you have to. That's fine. But definitely we recommend having a balance. Instead, just because they're able to contribute different perspectives that will help you develop the stronger application as you submitted.
Hina Hassan
12:38:43 PM
Understand. Thank you
We got a couple other questions in money. Asked if it's not possible to meet with the recommender in person are there any tips for asking them via email or Phone? I would choose I'm gonna be a preliminary email to see if they could jump on the Phone to talk with him a little bit more really the reason for asking them to go to coffee and to really.
Connect with them is to ensure that they have a strong understanding of why you're pursuing this Masters programs. And so that they are able to highlight anything that you would like them to note in the letter recommendation and really. I do mention before you want to make sure that the letter automation is as specific as possible to the program that you're applying for and highlighting any relevant experience and leadership experience that's relevant to making you.
Peyton Sherwood
12:39:46 PM
If you're applying to the same program (MAT), but for two different admit terms (Summer and Fall) can you re-use the same letters of rec?
More competitive applicants for example, with your clients educational counseling program, highlighting talking to faculty member or previous for example, GOP director about how this program aligns with your interest and what has prepared you in the past for this program can really help you develop for then write a more compelling letter recommendation for you.
Another tip, is all we request that you are a reach out to your recommender. At least 1 month prior to the application deadline to provide your recommender with adequate time to complete.
Yes, I see that we have a couple other questions, OK, so we can make sure that we can address everything he asked. When you mentioned the supervisors or mentors do you mean those from work or undergraduate programs?
Gabriela Papias
12:40:44 PM
If the letter of recommendation from your supervisor is from a job not related to the program you're applying to, would it hurt your application?
Jen Jahyun Jung
12:40:47 PM
I'm applying for MFT. Can my former therapist(who has become my life mentor) write the letter? And what if they don't have letterheads?
Yeah, there, either so it can be from you know whether you are an undrafted students and you had for example, work study, or from an internship or from a professional experience as well. For example, if you're working full-time so supervisor is a much worse can be from a variety of roles.
Yi Gao
12:40:54 PM
thank you
Are you know we'll get to the G reception in just a little spitz?
Pete and ask if you're applying for the same program. But for 2 different add midterms. Can you reuse the same letters of rock?
Uh no that one would be more of a question that you inject to again. Khalasar Molly, she overseas. The MIT programs. It sounds like you're applying to MAT online then and then how would be able to connect you with the right individual and talk a little bit more and stuff about the MIT program just because of MIT on Brown program only has 1 start date.
Somebody asked a program specific question about NFT. We do not recommend that therapist do a letter of recommendation for you.
Yeah, I I don't recommend Gen you know what let's talk about this offline, so reach out to me email or I'll get ahold of you, but I'll discuss why the MFT faculty don't recommend that you use a therapist reform and service as our letter of recommendation?
Jen Jahyun Jung
12:42:23 PM
Okay, thank you. Can I get your contact info later?
And Jen I just contact information will be in the last slide, yeah perfect.
And and Gabriella also asked if the letter of recommendation from your supervisor is from a job not related to the programmer pliancy. Would it hurt your application.
Uhm I would say it wouldn't hurt your application, but it always help if the recommender is from the fuel that you're trying to apply to nothing, said I would make sure that the individual, you have strong working relationship with this individual so that they're able whether you do that. The relationship over years or a couple months. Make sure that you identified image with that knows you well so it's more important that you find someone?
You know highlight under transferable skills to the program, then someone that you don't know very well and they write the end of writing a very, very brief letter recommendation. It's better that you find someone that is able to go in depth about your contributions but I've been the classroom or in a professional setting and then really it's important if they're not from this field just to highlight how they can see that it's relevant.
For them to understand why you're making this habit I thought the case.
Gabriela Papias
12:43:44 PM
Thank you!
Already so I know we have a lot of questions about total and Jerry scores about coming up next.
OK, so um these are the requirements for international applicants so USA. Rest your welcomes international applicants. If you are a citizen of a country other than the United States, you are subject to a US government regulations regarding entry into the United States, an enrollment program so you will need to follow any additional instructions that you see on USC graduate admissions page or on the program specific application requirements.
Detail page sofort over or I'll scores you'll find that in the application under academic history. Then you click on standardized test and you're going to add a test court.
So international students who native language is not English and who completed their undergraduate work outside of the US are required to submit an official Toefl or Ielts score as part of your application. You must have taken one of these tests within the past 2 years, so in order to be a competitive candidate applicant you should have received in a total score.
At or above 100. I BT an on and I'll score at or above 6.5 with nothing less than a score of 6 on each band.
So you're going to upload your test scores report in the academic history section of your application.
The scores are only received electronically from the testing service or are considered official so goes official scores are going to go directly to USC graduate admissions office and the codes are on on the website so take a look at that to look at the codes? What you're going to enter for the ETS code. But as far as uploading copies. Those will be for our initial admission review.
Committee to take a look at.
I like I said, so if you have more if you have more detailed questions. I would highly recommend looking at the English proficiency requirements on the USC graduate admissions page. 'cause they have a whole page that goes into detail about to help out international students apply to grad school I mean, I could go into detail but it's pretty long. So I highly recommend you visit that page for further questions because you do have to upload financial documents.
Verification of funds letter sponsorship you need to copy passport that needs to be entered. In addition to the items. You're ready uploading to application so please take a look at that page on USC graduate admissions, please.
Yeah, that USC graduate admissions page will offer a country specific requirements. So, there, you feel to selected drop down menu and identify the country that you're from, and that will tell you the requirements needed for each country.

12:47:08 PM
Since GRE scores are optional, may the scores be received after the deadline?
Alright. When is questions about that point? Feel free to reach out to us but I know we are running a little bit shorter on being yes will talk about the GRE scores right now, OK, so the GRE is not required once again. It's not required so standardized tests chords such as Jerry **** map. We do accept them. But they're not required for applicants to any of these programs so.
If you had to take it because you will find other programs an you. You have high scores that we would like to kind of highlight. Feel free to go ahead and submit the test boards can't be more than 5 years old. So just keep that in mind, but the jury is not required so if you if this is the only University that you are applying to don't even bother picking that up the only reason why I would consider taking that Jerry is?
Norma Lopez
12:48:10 PM
Would the GRE help our application?
If you uhm pro sample, we identified that you have a credit or a GPA that is in a competitive as most of the pool then I would consider taking a jury or instead of Jerry maybe consider taking additional has is whether that be from community colleges or other colleges around you to really showcase your academic potential an improvement from your undergraduate career so.
Those are the reasons why I would consider something your cherry test scores began. This is an optional things that you won't have to submit the test words here for us us here.
The jury I know we got across a couple questions about the casino asses. Jerry scores or optional metascores be received after the deadline. So I mean, I know scores are optional. But we always want to receive all the application materials by the deadline so I would recommend submitting in time for the specific Browns but again we do practice holistic review process an if you have a competitive GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Christina Scott
12:49:31 PM
Thank you.
Then I would say there is no need to submit the Jerry to score on this you really an ID mention really want to highlight that the jury would mainly be of help to individuals that have a less competitive. GPA other than that. I would say if you already have a competitive GPA then this is not necessary.
But again like, I did mention if you are applying to other Masters programs and since for many of those, this is a requirement. If you want to submit this to us us here as well have something that you can do if you want.
Thanks for the assist in Christina Norma.

I am I miss that, at what gpa a GRE is not require?
Love you so up next is the application fee, so once you have completed all 4 quadrants on the application. You are gonna see submit application tab. So you can pay the $90.00 fee by credit or debit card. There are fee waivers available to applicants who meet certain eligibility criteria. But you need to there's instructions and and this is all done specifically through USC graduate admissions website so if you.
Think you can apply for the C waiver you'll have to go directly to their website and submit the items that they need for example, I believe USC employees. You have to go ahead and let them know where you work, you enter your your employee ID and you will be wait. Yeah, just check it out and see if you meet the criteria you're going to have to provide supporting documents to demonstrate qualification and if you if you get your fee waiver approved they'll send you a coupon code to.
Enter so that your application will be submitted an being complete.

Yes, yes, you can apply up to 3 programs through USC Rossier. I believe actually USC graduate admissions office allows you to apply to 3 different programs. So also actually. No, we learned that the US? We learned that the USD graduates missions info fair that each graduate program has different bees.

How is I'm only again she would be best able to assist you with that just because she overseas, although teaching programs and we just want to make sure that you're getting the most accurate information possible. I'm going to shoot her contact information and shop box again and all of our Contacts will be in the last slice 2.
So program specific requirements.
Yi Gao
12:53:52 PM
Thank you!
So uhm here's where each program is going to have different requirements than other programs for example, for the Master of Arts and teaching multiple and single subject you will need to submit in the email that you have registered or if you have taken and completed we're going to need copies of your CBEST registration or if you pass the copy of passage of CBEST, which is the California basic exam skills test.
As well as if you're going to be applying for multiple or single subject registration. You're going to upload an email confirming that you're registered to take the C set in either multiple or single subject subject matter so if you haven't taken or if you have completed at least 1 section of those exams. You can upload that and that will qualify as part of your requirement for M80.
Alexa Heuser
12:54:58 PM
What is the main difference between the CBEST and the CSET Multiple Subject tests?
Registration proof that would be the registered that you passed either one of those exams.
The next one of 4M att Solon World Masters. You will have to submit a video interview, which is a link that you get. When you submit incomplete replication. In 24 hours, you will receive an external link coming from Kira talent and it will give you directions on how to submit these videotapes responses of yourself, you have a minute and a half to.
Answer as best as you can questions that we don't give you in advance but that will show up on a prompt and then you have one minute and a half to answer those questions detailed instructions and information can be found in your programmes of times writing assessment instructions as well as that external link you will get a Times writing assessment so you will.
Morgan Robertson
12:56:25 PM
So, just to clarify what I heard. Only registration will be uploaded? CBEST and CSET scores are not necessary? Just the proof that I have registered and taken at least one part of test?
This is a new one so for that. I'm writing assessment when you complete and submit your application. You'll receive an an email. About 24 hours after where you will get you will have your username, which is the email that used to apply as well as a pin to create your own. USC Rossier personal portal so through their USD. Ross your personal portal. Once you go ahead and registered to create that so we take your security very seriously so.
That's why I another portal is being created there, you'll be able to check the status of your application in terms of any missing materials and with that. You also be able to click on start that I'm running assessments, you will need to complete that I'm writing assessment in 130 minutes sitting so you will have 2 minutes to read the prompt in 30 minutes to write the answer. The problem, so it really that I'm writing assessment is for a couple of the programs here that we listed in the prompt is going to be relevant to the program that you're applying to.
Tiffany Shivers
12:57:19 PM
When do we actually need to have our CBEST and CSET results submitted?
So it's not a random up from a field really were just looking to understand how you think critically and how do you think on your feet so that I'm writing testament component is something that you will complete once you have the link to create your own USC. Rossier personal portal that thing, said with time running assessment being on a separate portal. I would recommend submitting all your application materials. About a week before. That's up line that way. You have sufficient time to complete that I'm writing assessments.
And in the next place will go over the application deadlines, too.
Answer with all the specific questions. I know Alexa Morgan in Symphony. You're asking about the sea bass in a C set. I would say just because I dni improvement over see a couple of different programs and calla has the most in depth. Knowledge about essence tea sets. I would advise that you reach out to calla using the context information above and she's also able to schedule one alone complications with you.
The reason why I mentioned that just because I want to make sure that you have the most accurate resource to guide you in the process of terminating an went to submit your scores as well as the difference between the individual tests as well.

On the MFT website, it states the first notification date is December 20, 2019. Are the notification dates program specific?
You're done in terms of in terms of application deadlines. An important dates. Please keep in mind. We do practice round here at USC. Rossier so the first round deadline is November, 1st 2019 and the notification. By January 10th 2020, so you'll find out right after the Holidays. And so you'll find out really soon Round 2. The application deadline is on January 15th in the notification.
Is by February 20 E 2020 and the round breeds outline is March 15th 2020 with notification by April 10th 2020 so we highly recommend that our students applied in the first 2 rounds. So then remember first a plan or the January 15th deadlines just because their priority considerations for scholarship opportunities here at USC. Rossier so automatically when you apply to the programs here, you are considered for USC Rossier scholarships over we have.
Minkyo Jeon
12:59:58 PM
I am planning to take GRE subject test in April but if the deadline for Round 3 is in March would taking the test be pointless?
More monetary resources and funds available in the first 2 rounds. So no matter which round you apply to you have an equal chance of being admitted, however you'll just have within the first around you'll have more opportunities to get awarded a scholarship at the time of mittens so for example, for students applying to the path an EC program. I highly recommend applying the first rounds, especially because there is a preview day that we invite students to.
Where are emitted from the first 2 rounds uhm? I know right then you're asking about an MFT website at state the burrstone application date is yes, so my project on that, so all these deadlines are specific to other programs. I know MIT has a slightly accelerated online. So yes, very Ghanaian applicants. I would defer to the USB Rossi official website and the program specific page to determine the deadlines. Anna notification deadlines just because I know.
A little bit of additional steps therefore, mfe application.
Norma Lopez

Liting Chen
01:00:38 PM
are there fellowship or assistantship programs available for master programs at USC? If so, where can I get the info? And do you have suggestions on what programs to look into? When should we look into?
Many go I'm clinically enjoy you suck a test in April. But as a deadline for Round 3 is in March. We're taking the test be pointless. I think yeah, I would recommend reaching out to your specific assistant director just because they can better address whether you should take the Jerry Strip Testament program are you applying to.
Normal normal know the deadline for educational counseling is the same as it is listed here, but great question.
I know that many of you have to log off soon just because it is possible and I do wanna be cognizant of everyone's time so in terms of next steps with connecting with the USC Rossier community. We do want to make sure that you have the opportunity. Not only to speak with us and further details, but also meet on current students in the program as well as faculty so we encourage students to come to campus for events if at all possible. I know some of us are abroad or some of us are out of state, so if you are able to.
Come to get best we would love to give you a tour whether that be through individual complications. If you can't join us in person. But we do host monthly webinars for the different programs in terms of other upcoming events for those of you that are applying to MSP program. We actually have an MSU machlas posted here on campus today on September 23rd in the evening for those of you applying to the sooner furious program. The educational counseling program or the enrollment management program.
I highly encourage you to come to the higher education day. On October 4th. That's from 9:30 to 4:00 PM. I will be hosting this event. San I look forward to meeting you there. We also have the Los Angeles all programs mixers, which is not program. Specific we highly recommend all our students from the different programs to come. This is Thursday evening events. So if we're able to drive out here, we would love to see you we also have a San Diego. All promise Mister on November 11th as well. That will be going up on the website shortly to be able to register for that.
But please keep these data mined as you continue. I'm working on your application and we really hope to continue engaging with you and supporting you through your application journey here at USC. Ross here as I mentioned before we did want to go ahead and provide our contact information for you to reach out to each of us. Kaladar Molly again overseas all of our teaching program so that includes MIT MIT soul. An World Masters so for any questions. I know some of our students have questions about CVS reset.
