USC Rossier Teacher Preparation Residency Interest Form.
Thank you for your interest in the USC Rossier Teacher Preparation Residency
in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD)
.
We are seeking candidates who embody the USC Rossier mission, reflect the diversity of the communities and students we serve, and aspire to make a difference as a teacher at any grade level.
Residents will:
Receive a combination of a $42K scholarship from the USC Rossier School of Education and a $20K living stipend from LAUSD, equivalent to the entire cost of tuition for the MAT program.
Complete a “residency” of two terms (terms 2 & 3) of Guided Practice (directed teaching) at the same school.
Commit to 4 years of teaching in LAUSD, as the teacher of record at the completion of the MAT Program.
Become a USC Mentor teacher after 3 years of teaching (optional).

Complete your application to the
on-campus MAT program
by April 15, 2021.
Among other application requirements, include official documentation that you have satisfied the basic skills requirement (i.e., CBEST test).
Submit official documentation that you have satisfied the subject matter requirement (i.e., CSET) by June 1, 2021.
Candidates who meet eligibility requirements will be contacted by the USC Rossier Office of Admission and Scholarships for a virtual interview.
